(Excerpt from the judgment, translated)
Internet Archive is a US-based organization whose purposes include supporting the preservation of electronic materials and building an Internet library for researchers and historians. It operates a web-archiving service called the Wayback Machine, which collects and archives web pages and is said to enable viewing information as it existed when collected. [...]
For images in the Wayback Machine’s archive, in some cases only the image URL is preserved, while in others both the URL and the image itself are preserved. In the former case, the image URL links to data outside the archive, and that external data is displayed in the archive. Accordingly, even after archiving, changes to the linked external data will also change the image displayed in the archive.
