IP High Court, Reiwa 5 (Gyo-Ke) 10105 [Electronic money remittance method] <Presiding Judge Nakahira>
= Reiwa 5 (Gyo-Ke) 10106
* Inventive step affirmed.
(1) Inventive step (primary reference: a Chinese patent application)
The patented invention's “certification information (electronic certificate)” and Ko 1's “identity information (ID or telephone number)” have different technical significance.
⇒ The patented invention's “certification information” includes digital signatures and the like created by a server or similar device and is distinguished from a mere ID. It therefore could not readily have been conceived from Ko 1.
(2) Inventive step (primary reference: Alipay-related technology)
The “account number” and “password” in Ko 7 (Alipay's payment system) do not constitute the patented invention's “certification information.”
