* Claim elements not satisfied.

1. No literal infringement

Element C: “U-shaped bent portion formed at an end of a rectangular plate.”

The invention's bent portion is formed by bending the end of the rectangular plate. The defendant's hook is at the end of a side plate and is not continuous with the bottom plate corresponding to the rectangular plate.

Element E: “Length of the rectangular plate > flange width.”

The defendant's bottom plate is 100 mm long, which is not longer than the flange width of 100 or 125 mm.

2. No equivalence

The differences, including the position of the bent portion, concern essential features absent from the prior art (first requirement for equivalence).

The defendant's structure also cannot achieve the invention's effects, such as compactness (second requirement).
