2023 (Gyo-Ke) 10107 [Induction Heating Coil Unit] <Hibiku Shimizu>

“From the principle of induction heating … electrically insulating nonmagnetic materials … have the property of allowing magnetic flux to pass through them … and it was well known that ceramics and resins were such materials …. …Selecting … well-known ceramics or resins as electrically insulating nonmagnetic materials … that allow magnetic flux to pass through … could readily have been conceived.”

The patentee also argued, in identifying the gist of the invention, that the entire case consisted of electrically insulating ceramic or resin, but that argument was rejected. (This point should presumably have been addressed by correction.)
