⇒ Claim for compensation for an employee invention. Dismissed.

(Co-inventorship denied.)

The core of the Japanese invention at issue lies in the formation of particular “communication holes.” However, the written explanation submitted by the appellant does not refer to their specific configuration and describes an entirely different problem and solution. The appellant's idea therefore does not exhibit the characteristics of the Japanese invention at issue.

(The “Invention / Utility Model Explanation” submitted by the appellant to the employer merely describes a different problem and solution and does not address the specific configuration of the communication holes.)

The U.S. and Chinese patented inventions are based on “Invention A,” in which through-holes are provided in the sleeve. This configuration clearly differs from the appellant's concept of providing a groove between the sleeve and the housing, so it is a different invention from the appellant's.
