"Metadata" means data received by this system that an information provider entered in the metadata frame for information-provider registration—an input form sent from this system to the provider's information device—and that includes purposes of homepage production.
⇒ The URIs, category names, etc. that the patent holder contends constitute "metadata" do not include purposes of homepage production, so the claim requirements are not satisfied.
The defendant product's "five category page templates" and "twelve product page templates" are the same regardless of differences in the contents of URIs, category names, template names, etc. They therefore do not fall within "a plurality of homepage samples regarded as related thereto being retrieved by using the purposes of homepage production included therein."
